FEC Student Care & Management Programme

Our primary responsibility is to provide care and personal support for international students studying in Singapore.

We are conscious that language differences, culture sensitivity and a multi-racial society is an enormous change for international students arriving in Singapore for the first time.

Our service intends to ensure the safety and well being of international students and provide peace of mind for parents.

Our goals will be achieved by working closely with students, parents and education providers and in some cases external agencies to support and encourage students to realise their academic potential in a safe and secure environment.


AFTER HOURS CARE SERVICE

Peace of Mind 24 hours a day 7 days a week

FEC provides a unique service that allows both students and parents immediate access to our counselors in crisis management. Support and assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• This unique program is designed to ensure the safety and well being of the students placed under our care.

• FEC will assist students with: medical emergencies, accidents, major purchases such as moving house, and any other personal issues.


SERVICES WE PROVIDE

For the Student
Link international students with the right schools/universities in Singapore.
Complete all the enrollment work required by the educational provider.
Liaise with government departments regarding visa, passports and other essentials.
Assist with health insurance, travel and banking needs.
Provide ongoing care and support for the students in their personal integration with life in Singapore.
Meet and assist at the airport on arrival.
Guarantee quality accomodation based on student budget.
Arrange extra tuition if necessary.

Provide the support network in a foreign country.

For the Parents
Provide regular updates to parents regarding the student's progress.
Where parents visit Singapore, assist with travel, accommodation, meetings with teachers and officials, and tours.

In Accomodation
Select a quality accomodation (eg hostel, home stay family).
Maintain regular communication and quality control with the accomodation provider.
Provide regular checks to ensure safety in accomodation and assist in moving house where necessary.

At the School
Maintain regular communication with the school.
Attend parent/teacher interviews.
Attend school functions.
Represent the student as a neutral party if any difficulties arise.


Airport Pick Up
All details (flight numbers, date, etc) relating to airport pick ups must be received by us as soon as possible & no later than seven ( 7 ) days prior to arrival. On arrival, parents receive a call from their child as soon as we pick up the student at
Singapore airport.

Education Matter
Evaluate, assess, selection of suitable schools and programmes for students under our care. We also register and monitor that the student receives proper care and attention.

Class Attendance
We work with the student to ensure attendance of no less than 90 percent which is required by the Singapore authority.

Monthly Progress Meeting
We conduct one-to-one meetings with the student to discuss their study progress and other issues on a monthly basis at our office. Parents will be notified if the student is not complying with the planned progress and/or regulations set by us so that early detection to handle problems is possible.

Medical Expenses
Parents are responsible for all hospital, medical & dental expenses. We encourage parents to make the necessary medical insurance coverage before student's arrival in Singapore.

Duration of services

The FEC Student Care service is part of the package provided to students who join one of our programmes for study in Singapore.

This support service is available for a period of six months from the date of student's first arrival in Singapore. Extension of this service is at our discretion.
